Spring Clean Up Week Returns May 5-10
As spring takes hold and baby wildlife take their first steps in the valley, local residents are taking a few small steps of their own to tidy up the valley after the long Wyoming winter.
Spring Clean Up Week returns Monday, May 5, through Saturday, May 10, offering a chance to tidy yards, clean up neighborhoods and keep compostable materials out of the landfill — all through a series of free programs hosted by Teton County, the Town of Jackson and the lunch Rotary Club of Jackson Hole.
Free Compostable Brown Bags Available Beginning May 1
• Jackson Town Hall (150 E. Pearl Ave.)
• Public Works Administration (450 W. Snow King Ave.)
• Recycling Center (3270 S. Adams Canyon Dr.)
Note: Use of brown bags is not required. Bags available while they last.
Free Residential Yard Waste Drop-Off
Residents are invited to dispose of grass clippings, leaves, garden trimmings and other compostable yard waste for free. All collected materials will be composted locally, turning organic waste into nutrient-rich compost products. Commercial loads are not eligible.

o Monday–Friday, May 5 – May 9, 7 a.m.–3 p.m.

Rotary Club Spring Clean Up Day – Saturday, May 10
Help beautify neighborhoods, parks, pathways and waterways during the annual Spring Clean Up community litter pick up day hosted by the lunch Rotary Club of Jackson Hole.
- Meet at Phil Baux Park at 8 a.m. for coffee, breakfast snacks, gloves, safety vests and assignments.
- Can’t make it that day? Sign up to clean during the week of May 4–10 by emailing jhcleanup@gmail.com.
Year-Round Composting Option
Can’t participate during Clean Up Week? Yard waste is accepted year-round at the Trash Transfer Station for $98 per ton, with a $10 minimum. (That’s cheaper than including it with garbage!) Composting helps keep valuable materials out of the landfill and creates useful soil products.
