Reduce waste of single-use plastic water bottles and tip your water bottle to the JH2O Hydration Station program by refilling your water bottles at our downtown filling stations – and by learning about sustainability in Jackson Hole! Help JH2O spread the word by following us on Facebook and sharing our project with friends and visitors.
The JH2O Hydration Station was created with the goal of providing delicious, free, filtered Jackson Hole tap water at local events and decreasing the use of disposable plastic water bottles. Bring your reusable water bottle and look for this mobile water refilling station at events such as the Jackson Hole People’s Market and other events.
Contact Teton County Solid Waste and Recycling if you are interested in borrowing
the Hydration Station to use at your event: ISWRoutreach@tetoncountywy.gov or 733-7678.
The mobile station is available for use at events held at municipal parks and properties,
such as festivals, sports tournaments and company picnics.
The JH2O project was established originally by the 2013/2014 class of Leadership Jackson Hole. The mission of the JH2O Project is to reduce our community’s landfill impact and cultivate awareness of Jackson Hole’s sustainability goals. By providing convenient access to water bottle refilling stations throughout the Town of Jackson, the JH2O Project directly reduces the footprint of Jackson Hole as well as impresses upon locals and visitors that Jackson is a leader in sustainability.
Teton County Solid Waste and Recycling, in partnership with Teton County & Jackson Parks and Recreation Department, the Town of Jackson, Teton County, and other local organizations, helped bring permanent water bottle filling stations to downtown Jackson at five highly visible and heavily trafficked locations.
We also partnered with St. John’s Medical Center and the Teton Village Association to help fund 3 water filling stations at the hospital and one in the Teton Village commons, providing folks access to delicious, free, filtered Jackson Hole tap water and helping to reduce the need for disposable water bottles.
The JH2O mobile water filling station is used at events held on Town and County properties, such as our public parks. This water station has received a large amount of use and positive reviews at the Peoples Market, Jackson Hole Live! concerts, and Old Bill’s Fun Run. This station is available to borrow for event held on Town and County properties.
Thanks for using your refillable water bottles and the JH2O community water filling stations to help Teton County produce less waste and become more sustainable. Refill don’t Landill!
