To help provide continued recycling access during setup and festivities for the Teton County Fair, recycling bins normally located at the Teton County Fairgrounds have been temporarily relocated to the Jackson Hole High School parking lot beginning Friday, July 10, through Sunday, July 26, according to Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling (ISWR).

Recycling bins at the Teton County Fairgrounds will be temporarily unavailable those dates to make room for rides, races, rodeo and other fair festivities and crowds. Bins will return on Monday, July 27.

At JHHS, the temporary bins can be found by turning south off of High School Road into the student parking lot. (See attached map.)  Community members should also note that the Albertsons community recycling site will remain unavailable during this time due to recent parking lot construction. That is expected to be back in service by the end of the month.

In the meantime, residents and visitors may use the temporary site at Jackson Hole High School or any of the other permanent community recycling sites, including the Teton County Recycling Center (3270 S. Adams Canyon Road) and the Teton County/Jackson Recreation Center (in the parking area between the Rec Center and Home Ranch parking lot). Recycling drop-off locations are also available at The Aspens, Teton Village, Hoback Junction and Spring Gulch Road. Community recycling sites are available seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

For unusual recyclables, such as batteries, books, textiles, scrap metal and household hazardous waste disposal, visit the Teton County ISWR website (TetonCountyWY.gov/Recycle), call (307) 733-S.O.R.T. or stop by the Recycling Center office during business hours to learn more.

As a reminder, community recycling sites are for residential and visitor use only, including residents in and outside of Teton County, Wyoming. Businesses are asked to use the bins available at the Recycling Center to help prevent containers from overflowing. Recyclers can help conserve bin space by flattening cardboard boxes before placing them in the bins.

Thank you for recycling. For questions, contact Teton County ISWR at 307-733-7678.
