With unusually warm weather this week, Teton County residents may be getting a head start on yard work — and Spring Clean Up Week is not far behind. The annual event will take place May 9 through May 16, 2026.

Residents do not need to wait until May to begin spring cleanup projects. Yard waste is accepted year-round at the Teton County Trash Transfer Station for approximately 5 cents per pound, with a $10 minimum charge, and most typical household loads fall within that $10 load. For many residents, that means it is already an affordable time to get a jump on yard work, branches and seasonal cleanup.

During the annual Spring Clean Up Week in May, residents have two primary yard waste drop-off options:

  • Trash Transfer Station (Saturday, May 9 – Saturday, May 15): Residential yard waste will be accepted during regular hours, with the first 500 pounds FREE during the event week.
  • Rodeo Grounds (Friday, May 15 ONLY): The Town of Jackson’s FREE, one-day-only residential yard waste drop-off event will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

An annual community-wide Spring Clean Up Day, organized by the Rotary Club of Jackson Hole to collect litter and beautify parks and roadways, will take place on Saturday, May 16, with volunteer opportunities available throughout the week.
